 This a project that I worked on last year. A map of Woolton, Liverpool. As you can see, it was printed a bit bigger than any of my other maps so far! Here it is up on the wall at the Woolton Vetinary Centre. 

Map of Bath

 

Last year I drew this illustrated map of the city of Bath.

It was originally for The Bristol and Bath Art book which aims to show the iconic cities through the eyes of the contemporary artists they inspire - edited by Emma Bennett. 

I have made it into some cards and postcards available here.

 

I shall be showing my screen prints as part of the Bouncing off the Wall fair in West London on Saturday 17th September.

It is a great fair, with brilliant artists, illustrators, art dealers, publishers on show. Architectural tours, live music, Greenside micro-bakery bread and a vintage tea room! Free Entry, 12pm - 5pm

I'll be in Devoran with my screen prints and cards for the Creek Art and Craft fair on Saturday December 4th. It should be lovely, there are some fantastic other makers and of course lots of tea and cake!

 

Dartington Grade II* Gardens Nature Activity map

 

Earlier in the year I designed this Nature Activity map for Dartington Grade II* Gardens in Devon. A great project, there was lots of lovely things to draw and I really enjoyed doing the little maze and word search on the back too, I used to love a word search when I was little!

Map illustrations

 

I illustrated some black and white maps for the book Pilgrimage for Peace published by Green Books. It is written by Satish Kumar about his amazing 8,000 mile walk from Gandhi's grave in India to Kennedy's grave in Washington in the 1960's. It was so interesting to read the book as I illustrated the maps, which show the route that he and his friend E.P. Menon travelled across each country. Here is a link to the book.
