I love London and love sitting on the bus daydreaming away! Am always reluctant to get off when my stop comes along.

creative walls book

Last year my flat mate and good friend Lee was decorating his room ready to have it photographed for a book his friend Geraldine James was making called Creative walls. I managed to sneak a couple of my screen prints in there. The year of the fox print was already up on the wall and the other was the, it's a squirrel's life, print. She has a new book out this year which hopefully might have a print lurking in the background too!

Here is my fox on a bike screen print. From a sketch in my sketchbook. It was nice to do some hand drawn type.

Red flowers and jugs

This screenprint (nice and simple one colour one for a change!) is of some drawings I did of some jugs that remind me of holidays and family put together with some patterns and flowers.

cornish hedgerow

Here is a print inspired by walking up the lanes at the back of the village. The cornish hedgerows full of lovely flowers and grasses. I like to do my screen prints in quite a hands on, spontanious way (or maybe I am not the best at planning!) and this print had several moments when I thought I had messed it up! But I like the random approach and I used filler as I went along to block out bits of line when it felt like a block of colour would be nice instead. I think it has a nice fresh, sunny feel. I printed 6 prints, each one is slightly different.
